Ricky Proehl's vision is to support children in North Carolina who have medical or social needs that would otherwise not be met.

Amos Cottage
Prudential Carolinas Realty and general proceeds from the
2003 Golf Classic continued to benefit Amos Cottage, a facility that is a part of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics in Winston-Salem. Amos Cottage provides specialized care for children with developmental and behavioral disorders. For 2004, all proceeds from our Silent Auction will additionally benefit this beloved facility.

Oak Ranch, Inc.
CapTrust Financial Advisors, our title sponsors, directed a portion of their sponsorship donation to Oak Ranch, Inc., a home and healing agent for troubled youths and their families located near Sanford, North Carolina. Through a variety of programs and services provided in a beautiful rural setting, Oak Ranch seeks to rescue children from unhealthy living conditions, re-create healthy family environments, and renew a sense of hope for the full realization of each child's God-given potential.

Follow Me Mentor Center
FMMC is directed and founded by Jessie Britt, one of our outstanding coaches for the football camp. It is a center in Greensboro that provides transportation, tutoring and positive role-modeling for school-age children at no cost. Jessie desires to see the youth in our community not only survive but thrive, reaching their full potential in every area. For more information, call 336-299-5929 or write to:

Cancer Recovery Foundation Children's Project
CB Development of Winston-Salem assisted the Cancer Recovery Foundation Children's Project by providing funds for two special parties and gift baskets for pediatric oncology patients at Brenner Children's Hospital and the opportunity to send a young patient to camp.

The Boys and Girls Club of Raleigh
Baker Roofing of Raleigh directed funds to the Boys and Girls Club of Raleigh's Power Hour Education Program, an afterschool program that includes homework assistance, mentoring, book reading goals, and recognition for achievement.

In addition to Amos Cottage, general proceeds from previous golf classics provided valuable assistance to the Greensboro Cerebral Palsy Association housed at the Gateway Educational Center in Greensboro, the Special Needs Unit of the Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem, and the Children's Home Society of North Carolina Private Placement Program.
